Bulletproof Bantha Milk (Blue Keto Hot Cocoa)

This delicious blue cocoa is out-of-this-world CRAZY GOOD, incredibly nutritious, easy to prepare and loads of fun! Please check below for macros, and links to the ingredients that we used developing our recipe.

BLUE food is always a favorite with the Padawans!

Somehow, consuming anything blue holds a great appeal to the young Jedi’s, but seeing as much of the blue food is over-the-top toxic blue-raspberry, high fructose, propylene glycol whatever and chemical blue dyes?

You must unlearn what you have unlearned.” Yoda 

So, we have unlearned what almost killed us – our quest ended up in the genuine blues clues of amazing food.

We found  the butterfly pea flower, aka, clitoria ternatea.  The force is strong in this one! Not only is this tea a GORGEOUS deep indigo blue?

It is delicious, serious nutrition.

Butterfly Pea has been ascribed many health benefits in both Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, many of which have been supported with contemporary clinical research.  It shows promise in animal models for its memory enhancing effects, and has a wide spectrum of neurological benefits.   There is preliminary evidence suggesting that the butterfly pea is helpful with insulin resistance – as it is demonstrating great promise that it is healthy for the liver and circulating lipoproteins,  and benefit diabetics by inhibiting glucose uptake from the diet.

Clearly, I am not offering medical advice, always check with your own medical professional.   I can tell you tho, my own personal experience our Bulletproof Bantha milk, suppressed hunger, and boosted focus – just one cup left me with a sense of quiet energy, calm and well being.   The next morning, my fasting blood sugar was an amazing 85 mg/dl!   (I’m type 2 NO MEDICINE!)

Not only is this drink out of this world DELICIOUS – the health benefits of this incredible BLUE flower is what makes it the preferred drink of JEDI padawans and their Jedi-Master moms.


2 cups Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
2 TBLS Butterfly Pea Flowers
2 Cups water
2 TBLS MCT oil
10 drops Liquid Stevia
2 scoops collagen.

OPTIONAL:  for extra creaminess, 1/3 cup heavy cream OR 1/3 cup full fat coconut milk.

Boil water to steep your tea – let it steep for 4-5 minutes or until it is a gorgeous blue-purple. Add the tea, to the almond milk, add MCT oil.

(Add in heavy cream or full fat coconut milk if desired)

Whisk over medium heat until hot and foamy. Place in blender, add collagen and stevia and blend until foamy. Pour into mugs, top with sugar-free whipped cream (we make our own with stevia)

Butterfly Pea Flower 

Butterfly Pea Flower is found throughout South East Asia –  and is used extensively for is believed the flower has many medicinal properties, especially for your kidneys, blood, and immune system. Naturally high in antioxidants, the flower can help reduce oxidative stress caused from a build-up in environmental and food toxins in your body. Current research is studying the effect the properties of this plant have on cancer, specifically lung cancer.

Want beautiful glowing skin and hair?  Butterfly pea flower is believed to work wonders there as well.

Besides the fact that the flower creates a beautiful, midnight blue colored tea, it’s actually quite tasty and refreshing. A little extra fun? Put a teaspoon of lemon or lime juice in your tea, and watch it transform from a midnight blue to a cross between a magenta and sangria color.
